Country Volleyball

On Tuesday 10th November, 2 SOHS teams travelled to Toko to play volleyball. This is the 3rd week the students have been playing and although it is a new competition, all players ahve been improving with every game. SOHS and Toko won 2 games each with scores of 21-19, which shows how close the teams are.

Next week is to be a final round with teams travelling to Lawrence, however, due to exams starting and a majority of our players being senior students, it may have to be cancelled. SOHS players will be notified on Monday as to the situation of Tuesday games.

Fishing competition

Windy and cold conditions did not deter 11 anglers from venturing onto the riverbank with rod and fishing bag in hand for the SOHS fishing competition which ran from Friday 6th November (4pm)to Saturday 7th November (2pm).
10 good sized trout were caught with Abby Rhodes winning the Girls Trophy with two 1 lb fish and Sean Sell taking the Boys Trophy with 3 fish—4&1/4 lb, 2&1/2lb and a 2lb fish.
Other fish caught by students are as follows: Jamie Sutton with 3 fish-2lb, 2lb and 1&3/4lb
Cory Sutton with 1 fish-2&1/4 lb
