South Otago High School presents: Alison by Darryl Chute

 Synopsis

The year is 1966 and Alison has just received a 'Dear John' letter from her long standing boyfriend, Jeff.  She is consoled by her friends and employees, Wendy, Rachael and Fritz at the Alley Cat Salon.

Alison feels all is not lost when she is spotted by a talent agent, Phil Wonderland, who offers to be her 'agent' and take her to Hollywood.  However, before she can do anything she needs to find the back rent she owes on the premises of the hair dressing salon.

By now, Jeff realises he has made a mistake in breaking it off with Alison and thinks he may be too late to make amends when he sees Alison and Phil together.  he cconsults a fortune teller, Nadine, who suggests he learns to dance.
