Maths Department

The Mathematics Department places a focus on student engagement, thereby increasing mathematical skills and understanding. The end result of this focus is improved academic performance.

To achieve the aims of the Mathematics Department, we have endeavoured to include more practical activities in our teaching strategies, with emphasis on numeracy skills and differentiated learning and multilevel thinking.

 Junior Level

The focus is numeracy skills and the improvement in knowledge and understanding of number and algebra, measurement and geometry, and statistics.

 Senior Level

At the senior level focus is on acquiring mathematical knowledge and skills which will help them in their career paths and help in the preparation of NCEA assessments.
