Nga mihi mahana ki a koutou katoa

Warm greetings to you all

Outdoor Education
Despite the weather not always working with us the last three days have gone well. The visits to the Marae at Puketeraki have been a great way of sharing ideas with our students. The ability to work in a multicultural world is an essential for all of our young people. Ensuring that we give them the knowledge and skills to do this is one of our important school goals.

The trips to other events have all been going well and I know that teachers have enjoyed the opportunity to work with students in a more relaxed setting outside of the classroom. I remind those who still have money to pay for these trips and that this needs to be attended to as soon as possible.

Senior Clearance
On Monday our Year 12 clear in the morning (11.00am) and the Year 13’s in the afternoon (1.00pm). For Year 11’s this takes place on Tuesday morning (11.00am). For students to be signed off they need to return all books and materials that have been lent to them and to settle outstanding accounts.

Subject Choices
A number of students who are returning to Years 11-13 in 2012 still have outstanding subject choice forms. If we do not get
these it makes planning for next year very difficult. I urge all
students to discuss their choices at home before committing to a course of study.

Have a great week.
