Co-Curricular Activities

South Otago High School offers many co-curricular activities for its student body.  Education is not just about what happens in the classroom and we offer many opportunities for students outside of the classroom.

Maori

We pride ourselves on our strong Kapa Haka group as well as the many successes we have had in the Manu Korero competition over the years.

Sports

We offer a wide range of sports for our students.

Music

As well as being an important part of the curriculum there are many activities outside of the classroom available to our students.

Drama

Our students have done particularly well in this year especially in the Shakespeare competition earlier in the year.

Education outside the Classroom

There are many trips and activities organized throughout the year that add so much to the education of our students. Examples of this are the outdoor education trips for both Year 9 and Year 10, the Geography field trips, visits to the Observatory and to the Portobello Aquarium and much more.
