The 1st XI contested the McCullum Cup in Dunedin last weekend.
Across the two days, we played four matches, and finished with a win and three losses. While the results were not what we were wanting, there are many learnings that we can take from the tournament and we can now concentrate on improving from week to week. A special thank you to Kay Wood for helping with transport and to those parents and staff (Mr Matsas, Mr Williams) who came along to support the team.
Saturday cricket begins tomorrow, with the team playing against Otago Boys' at Memorial Park, Mosgiel (1:00 start). The van will be leaving SOHS from the bus bay at 11:45.
One more thing: We could certainly do with a few more players - we are currently borderline in terms of being able to field a team and there is definitely an opportunity for a few that are keen to give cricket a crack. If your son is keen to give cricket a go, please encourage him to come and see me in A4 at school.
