Students driving vehicles can be a major issue for the school.
South Otago High School is concerned about the safety of students who bring a vehicle to school. We are not asking for students to complete a vehicle permission slip this year but all students bringing a vehicle to school will be spoken to at an assembly and are expected to meet our safety procedures.
Only year 12 and 13 students may bring a vehicle to school.
Unless there is prior approval from the school the vehicle may not be used during the school day.
Students are not permitted to carry other students in the vehicle (approval from the school may be given for legitimate reasons).
Car parks are provided for students to park their vehicles.
Caregivers will be contacted if there are concerns with the use of vehicles.
