South Island Touch Tournament

Over the weekend, the SOHS touch team competed in the South Island touch tournament.

We started off with 3 wins that got us to the semi-finals on the second day, which we were very proud of.

The team played very well in all games and managed to come 4th overall. It was an outstanding weekend away with a great bunch of students who enjoyed themselves and are looking to be a competitive team at the national’s competition at the end of the year.

Results:

  • 9-3 win against Waimea
  • 5-2 win against Mt Hutt
  • 4-2 win against Taieri
  • 7-8 loss against Rolleston
  • 4-7 loss against St Andrew’s
  • 3-6 loss against Lincoln

A huge thank you to Emma Puna, Dan Marshall, Heidi Marshall, and Ben Smart for all the work the have done to make this trip a success.

Also, a big shout out to Ollie Shore who was a referee at the tournament.
