Year 12 biology went out to the New Zealand Marine Studies Centre out at Portobello on Monday.

Students enjoyed using the awesome scientific equipment in the lab then going down to the rocky shore and completing an ecological monitoring transects up the beach. This data will be used for their internal assessment and we will also add it to the citizen science project Marine Meter Squared (https://www.mm2.net.nz/) it’s awesome to see our students out and really getting involved in hands-on science. Staff also commented about how fantastic our group was to work with.
