Week 2 Literacy Tip of the week: This week teachers have been focusing on skim reading - a way of quickly looking at a text to see if it is useful, relevant or interesting to whatever they are looking for. You could ask your child to skim something you’ve been reading and tell you what the main points were.
What we’re reading: ‘This is NOT how it ends’ by Jehan Casinader. I'm on a quest to better understand how to help people understand mental health issues better and just making sure mine is still okay. - Mr Beeby.
Screen-Free activity of the week: Do a jigsaw puzzle. This is a great way to develop cooperative skills, problem solving skills and processing patterns.
