Summer School Information Sessions

Registrations for Te Kura Summer School will open on 18 November 2024.

Tēnā koutou katoa

I hope you have all had a productive start to Term 4, with NCEA exams rapidly approaching.

I am pleased to advise that there are options available for ākonga (students) to gain a few extra credits at NCEA Levels 2 and 3 if they need a little help to reach their goals.

Registrations for Te Kura Summer School will open on 18 November 2024.

Summer School courses are delivered online from December to February, so with access to a computer and the internet, ākonga can learn anywhere and anytime. Last year, more than 3000 ākonga took advantage of Summer School to complete their studies, enabling them to go on to further study, training, or employment.

We will be hosting some online information sessions for schools and whānau throughout November. These sessions are open to the public and will be held in the evening to accommodate commitments during school hours. The access links to each online session will be posted on our website. We will also post reminders on our Facebook page.

I also wanted to let you know that we have digital versions of our Summer School poster on our website. You are welcome to share our poster with your school communities – it can be used both online and in print, and is perfect for newsletters, websites, emails, and social media posts.

Our Student and Whānau Support team is available to answer any Summer School queries. Please phone 0800 65 99 88 option 1, or email [email protected].

We thank you for your interest, and look forward to supporting our education community over the summer break.

He waka eke noa – we are all in this together.
