This Wednesday year 13 Biology left school at 7.30am to spend a full day at the New Zealand Marine Studies Centre, which is a branch of the University of Otago, returning at 6.30pm.
They spent the day running individual scientific experiments on how changes in the environmental salinity impacts muscle function of crabs, collecting data for their assessments.
They all worked diligently, asked the marine scientists great questions, persevered through any challenges they faced and represented the school extremely well in the process. It was great to see all students work towards their own personal excellence in this context.
