Last week we had the opportunity to attend an invitational dinner to Otago Polytechnic that was catered by the year 1 bachelor of culinary arts students.
It was an amazing experience, and the dinner was beyond amazing.
Three hospitality students were able to see behind the scenes and explore the commercial learning kitchens and see food in a more high-end manner. It gives students who are looking at a further career path with food the chance to see what can be done. The focus of the dish was to use produce that was local and in season, sustainability and aligned with the students personal values.
