South Otago High School entered three teams in the Otago Intercollegiate Golf Tournament, held at Balclutha Golf Club today.

The boys all carried themselves well and stuck to the brief of "focusing on the next shot". While there were some individual highlights - Clayton Sheppard produced a tidy net score 70 to snag 5th place in that category - there is no going past the effort of the team consisting of Rashaun Melvin (69), Toby Allan (71) and Ryan Hurring (76) who narrowly edged out Wakatipu High School to be crowned Otago Secondary School champions for 2026. As a result of this success, we have qualified for the New Zealand Secondary Schools tournament - more details to follow!
