Our Year 9-10 students are beginning their aquatics unit in Physical Education from Week 3 of Term 2
This unit focuses on developing essential water safety skills, helping students build confidence and make safe decisions in and around water which is an important part of life in New Zealand. Students will take part in practical pool sessions twice a week and will need to bring togs and a towel. This learning also contributes to their Movement and Motor Skills assessment for the year. This is a valuable opportunity for students to build essential water safety skills, and it is important that they participate to the best of their ability to gain the full benefit from the unit.
