Student for a Day

We are excited to announce the return of the University of Otago’s "Student for a Day" programme, running from the 13th to the 17th of July (second week of the school holidays).

This unique initiative, part of the Locals Collegiate Community, offers your Year 13 students a fantastic opportunity to immerse themselves in university life by shadowing a first-year student.

About the Programme: "Student for a Day" allows prospective Year 13 students to experience a day in the life of a university student. They will attend lectures, tutorials, and laboratories, gaining invaluable insights into what it's like to study at Otago. This programme will take place during the second week of the school holidays, ensuring students can participate on a day that suits them best.

How to Register: Students can register for this opportunity by completing the form located here:

The deadline for applications is the 26th of June, so please encourage your students to apply promptly.

Promotional Materials: We have attached a digital poster for "Student for a Day". We would greatly appreciate it if you could distribute this poster around your school, particularly in

areas frequently visited by Year 13 students.

Further Information: If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. You can reach Maya Pitcon and Lei Lani Hosking via email at [email protected]
