Staff room - South Otago staff are welcome to use the school staff room for a hot drink and a place to relax during the interchange.
Canteen – Will be open during the interchange during break times for both staff and students alike (11am – 11.30am and 1.30pm - 2.00pm).
Interchange Schedule:
9.00am - Junior teams to depart for Balclutha
10.00am South Otago teams to arrive at Taieri College on Church Street – met and walked into school. Hockey players to leave to the Otago Hockey Turf on SOHS bus.
10.05am - Formal welcome - South Otago to be welcomed by Taieri College students in front of library with College Waiata & Challenge performed by the Kapa Haka group. South Otago to respond after Taieri College. – Lana for welcome
10.15am - Teams to head to venues to get changed for fixtures.
10.25am - Hockey teams to arrive at Otago Hockey Turf for warm up (game to start at 11am).
10.45am First games start
11am Hockey game starts
12pm Next lot of games start
12.30pm Hockey leaves Otago turf grounds
1.30pm - Prizegiving and afternoon tea starts either on Kaye field by changing rooms or ITC depending on weather conditions. – Ollie for wrap up prizegiving 2pm South Otago departs 3pm Juniors arrive back from South Otago
Format
Rugby Boys: 70-minute games = 2x 35-minute halves, 7-minute break
Rugby Girls: 60-minute games = 2 x 30-minute halves, 7-minute break
Netball: 40-minute games = 4x 10-minute quarters, 2min-3min-2min breaks
Basketball: 40-minute games =4x 10-minute quarter, 2min-3min-2min breaks
Football: 60-minute games =2x 30-minute halves, 7-minute break
Hockey: 60-Minute games=4x 15-minute quarters, 2min-5min-2min break
