CareerFest Southland is just around the corner, and we'd love to invite your students, whānau, and wider school community to visit the Southern Institute of Technology (SIT) booths at ILT Stadium Southland on 6–7 August 2026.

As Southland's largest careers expo, CareerFest brings together students, employers, industry representatives, and training providers to explore future study, training, and career opportunities.

• School Sessions: 10:00am – 3:00pm
• Community Session (Open to the Public): 5:00pm – 7:30pm

Friday 7 August 2026

• School Sessions: 9:00am – 1:00pm

At the SIT stand, students will have the opportunity to:

1. Meet and chat with tutors, programme managers, support staff, and current students
2. Explore interactive displays and hands-on activities from a range of programme areas
3. Learn about on-campus and online study options
4. Discover study pathways, student support services, Zero Fees Scheme and campus life
5. Find out more about our STAR programmes and MTA | Murihuku Trades Academy opportunities for secondary school students

The Thursday evening Community Session is a great opportunity for parents, caregivers, whānau, and anyone considering further study or a career change to explore the options available through SIT and the many other exhibitors attending the event.
