Get2Go

We had a great day out at the Get to Go challenge in Dunedin, where we were able to get 2 teams entered, from our Year 10 cohort

This is a day of giving some new activities a go, as well as challenging ourselves against other schools from around Otago. Unfortunately, the water activity was cancelled due due to high winds in the forecast, so we started the day with a team problem solving activity, that tested the brains, and our ability to communicate and use our team work skills! Next we headed up to Forrester Park for a Orientaring challenge, where teams used their map reading skills to gave it their best to find the hidden checkpoints. Lastly, and what seemed the most enjoyable for our teams, was the mountain bike challenge where each team shared 2 bikes around a set course. There were some tricky cornering and even some extra challenges for bonus points. Our teams digged it in, right to the very last minute battling some fairly heavy rain, changing the track conditions dramatically! Well done to our Year 10s, you represented us well. And thanks to Mrs Wilkinson, Miss Reid and Ms Sheppard who were able to make this opportunity happen for the students
