    Dear Parents/Caregivers

    Kia Ora Tatou

    The Otago Country Under 16

Congratulations to the South Otago High School students who have been chosen to be part of the squad for the Otago Country Under 16 team. The students are:
    Callum Crawford
    Jordan Cunningham
    Caiden Davidson
    Frank Hill
    Scott McLaren
    Kael Merrett
    Liam Sell

Congratulations to those students and we look forward to seeing your progress in the future.

    Attendance

At school we are working hard to ensure that student attendance is recorded accurately. A lot of time is spent checking that we have our records true and accurate. It would be appreciated if parents know that a student is going to be absent from school for the day or part day call the absence phone line at school (03 418 0517, Option 1) When we do not receive a phone call we do endeavour to make contact, typically by text message. Please do respond as this helps us ensure the safety of all of our students.

    Survey results

Thank you to those students and families who responded to our recent Year 9 and 12 survey. Your feedback has been most useful and will help us in our planning for the future. As promised we have made a draw from the respondents and Isla Hastie and her family will be receiving a $50 Warehouse Voucher.

    Uniform

As winter carries on we are starting to see some variations in the standard with which students are wearing uniform. The help of parents to maintain the standard expected by all students is appreciated. A copy of the expectations which was sent home to all students is re-printed in this newsletter.
