    1st Jul 2016

    Dear Parents/Caregivers

    Kia Ora Tatou

As we approach the penultimate week of the term, staff have been exceptionally busy providing feedback and advice to students on the first half of the year.

    Reports

Reports have been issued to students on Friday afternoon. I have spent time reading though these and have been impressed by the quality of feedback and advice that has been given to students and families/ whanau. Please do take the time to read through this with your child.

    Parent Interviews

The invitation to make bookings to meet teachers has been open for some time. I strongly encourage parents to make the time to meet with your child’s teachers.

Changes to the timing for Wednesday 6 July

Please note that the school will finish early on Wednesday 6 July to enable teachers to be present for interviews. Some buses will depart earlier and the information regarding these arrangements are published in this newsletter.

    Year 10 and Year 13

All Year 10 and 13 students were issued with a survey and envelope to return it in. There are two parts to be completed, one by the student and the other by the parent. Please do take the time to complete and return this by Thursday 7 July. The information provided will assist in future developments for South Otago High School.

    Finally

It has been a pleasure this week to share with students positive feedback which I have received with regard to student conduct in our community and on the sports field. It is this positive behaviour that makes working in the South Otago High School community a pleasure.
